Ride routes and good roads

Over the years in Houston I went on many a good ride. Usually more related to whom I was riding with as opposed to where we were riding.

Way back when, this map was posted but the old link in that post died..

Please "right click save as" to save some bandwidth.. it is a HUGE map so be prepared when you open it

Along the way, I always like to go exploring and seeing new roads, so I made up a simple word doc with notes, and routes. These are mostly based off my side of town, so depending on your start point you can change them around as needed. They are in bold, large print so I could print off a page, put them on my tank bag, and read them easily in a quick glance.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/heads_up...0to%20ride.doc

Again, "right click save as"

None of these are "secret" or unknown, contrary to what some might think. I make no guarantees as to how the road surface is, or possible changes to the roads, as a lot of these date back to 05/06. You can always cross check with Googlemaps to verify.

That being said, just get out and ride and see something new, instead of those same old roads you run every Sunday.

Fair warning... LOL!!!

Thanks, I am always looking for new routes to explore and have not gone your direction much. Lately I have been riding between SL and the coast a lot...HD city with lots of stops and bars and straight roads...few curves :(

Come up here to NW Arkansas - some of the best, if not the best, riding in the central region.

And southern Missouri along the Arkansas border has a ton of excellent roads also.

glad I moved here!

Yes sir, been there, done that!

Push Mountain and MO125 are two of my favorites.
