Any idea what my bike is really worth?

2001 Suzuki tl1000s. Good shape, never laid down or dropped. 30xxx miles. It's a little dirty, but other than that it's pretty minty. A little paint wear on the tank from where my gut sits when riding. Good tires. TRE installed.

What do you think I could get for it?

Check NADA and or Kelley Blue Book online. That will give you a starting point

NADA trade in 2500 retail 3300. I'd say if being sold by a private party around 2700ish. In the end, it all depends what someone is willing to pay and what you're will to let it go for....

It's in the for sale section. Guess I have it priced too high.

TL's were and are a "niche" bike.

Not that many people familiar with them, and even a smaller buyers base.

Have you tried the dedicated TL forums?

Yeah. But most are located pretty far from the area.

you have the TL1000S or R? the faired version or non-naked if im not mistaken. I would price it at 3200 and see who bites, I wouldnt accept anything less than 3,000 for the bike, if anyone tells you to lower the price tell them to go buy a ninja 250 because thats all you're going to get for <3,000 these days.

It's a great bike bud, but as lurch said it's such a niche bike. People are so used to 4 cyl SS bikes that if the bike doesnt have the "look" it's much harder to sell. That, and 30,000 miles is a TON for a typical street bike (600cc that is). Most people don't realize how long the zuki vtwins last. I ran into the same issue with my SV1k. Luckily I waited out and a well-informed buyer took it at asking $. Took a couple months and I had to drive 30 min to meet him (he drove 2 hours).

It is tax time though, so keep it posted and see what happens. Mileage and age are your worst enemy in an era of 5-7yr/20k life expectancy 600 SSs

I'll give you 5 hundy cash money

NADA is a good starting point. Other than that stop by a few shops and ask. You'll get more accurate info for your area. Just ask a few to get an avg.

Those are great bikes. Your current $2700 is a fair asking price IMO. I agree with the tax comments as well, someone will buy it. Post it up on TL specific sites and even eBay. Shipping is not a big deal. Niche bike buyers will ship for a solid example.

I have sold a Hawk GT to a guy on Georgia and a VFR400R to a guy in Los Angeles.

EDIT: I hate to say it, but it would also make a great TRACK DAY bike.
