I rode 2UP for years on sport bikes. (Till i got my own M!) My tricks were:
- good grip soled shoes
- right hand palm flat on tank just in front of his belly (nice to feel him)
- lots of pressure on my feet while braking
- leaning slightly backwards as we begin to stop
- stomach muscles to prevent my upper body from moving forward
- ALWAYS paying attention (active passenger, not passive backseat riding)

My fav thing on 2UP was lying down in crouch position on med-high speed sweeping curves and rapid acceleration (use to 'shoot the highway' entrances - the crazy stop lights at entrance ramps - we would exit every exit just to get back on again at the next entrance. Loved the street drag race to the next exit...racing the wind! We always won.

I use 38 for 2 up but Bevo uses 42 solo. I am sure he is doing something right from the way he rides.

Leave it like that. The later model CBRs have the same pressure for solo and 2up. It's on the swingarm placard unless someone removed it

I ride 2up all the time, just have them be aware of laws of physics on the bike, I like it better than riding solo

Lol. Shes not holding herself up then.
Hmm..where r are her thighs to u? Against ur sides? What will she be squeezing?
She needs to prop herself, pressing against the tank and using her core to have her body off of u.
I took my gf and she slips into me too. I find her in the whole seat with me! Lol.
Does she clink her helmet against urs too? Tell her back up, woman! These ladies need to use their abdominal muscles.

I always suggest they ride like they are on the back of a horse...

Reach around and grab the saddle horn, everything will be awright, giggity

Riding 2 up.

No squeezing you with her thighs. At least not when riding 2-up on the bike. You need to be able to move around at all times, without having to unlock her first. And as previously mentioned, as a passenger on a sport bike, they can't be in la la land. They need to be actively paying attention to the curves of the road, be prepared for when you may need to lean, slow or stop. They should basically be working along with you, the whole time. This ain't no Harley with a couch. LOL!

I did a track day with my (then) 14 y/o son on the back so we could get better and more comfortable at riding 2-up. One of my best memories to date. Click image for larger version

Riding 2 up.

Yup thigh squeezing is worst. You are stuck in one spot and can not maneuver.

Well it all depends on the type of tires you use.. some tires can be used with just 14 psi or some need well over 32. I am no expert, but i would imagine if youre riding two up I run 32/32 in my Q2's nomally and thats just what whoopies told me and I want to say I think I read it on dunlops website.. I would bump it up though maybe 36 idk, i just know I would add some air because of the extra 120ish pounds being put on the back so you dont have a flat center

Not street tires. If you run 32 on the street on most supersports you might be running the risk of cupping the front tire

Lol 14 psi is a track tire pressure. You will never use that on the street.
