Shopping for Bike: what do you think?

Bike looks pretty good, but I'm not certain on price. What's a reasonable offer?

$6,100?

A quick look at cycletrader says it is a good deal if the bike is truly as clean as it looks looks...

Looks like it hasn't been very well maintained. (Rusty...) okay price (i'd get him down to 5k bc of the lack of maintenance) . ghetto exhaust.

Thanks for the feedback. I was looking closely at the photos as well and noticed that the rotors and other parts were rusty as well.

Rusty rotors means nothing. Just means it has been sitting. Dont drive your car for a few days and look at the rotors. First application of the brakes will remove the rust

Mmm... he wouldn't budge on price. Thank you all for your feedback. Backing out on this one. Seems a bit fishy.

The rusty bits don't necessarily mean lack of maintenance in general. It just means the bike has been parked outdoors extensively. Owner is probably an apartment dweller. Then again, for best presentation, he really should've at least cleaned and oiled the chain before taking for-sale pics. If he was not willing to do that, may be he has not been willing to do regular upkeeps too.

Bike also looks like it has been downed on the right side and possibly refinished. The edge of the silver painted piece looks a bit raggedy.
