Quick Shifter: Who has one?

I just had a QUick Shifter installed by Motorcycles Unlimited on my ZX10R.

First of all, gots to say I love it and wonder why I waitied so long! Upshifts are seamless and the quickshifter seems like a factory component.

After a spirited debate over dinner Saturday, I want some opinions from other who have either a factory or aftermarket QS>

1) How often do you use your QS?
2) Is the QS practical in riding situations other than racing?

Quick Shifter: Who has one?

Yes. Always use it as I have never really used the clutch after first anyway. At the track I use it as a qs assisted by an air shifter. I push the button to shift. The qs does the kill and the ram moves the lever

I dont think the speeds and lean angle best suited for a quick shifter are wise for traffic filled roads...and my track bike is not street legal.

I'm probably biased but I like them.
Once you have ridden with one you miss it when you're on a bike that doesn't have one.
No, they're not a necessity, but they are great for everything from running the back roads to merging into traffic on the freeway.

Quick Shifter: Who has one?

But with a qs there is no need to chop the throttle

Quick Shifter: Who has one?

No matter how fast your shifts are it better when the throttle position is t a factor

Annatori RL.
Dudewhesmybike (Gary) introduced me to the brand. Its pretty good bang for the buck. Read about it after Gary told me on ZX10.net and a bunch of otheer forums.

It runs about 300.00 bucks.

Pardon my ignorance.

but when im at WOT and going to grab the next gear, i only slightly let off the throttle as i have already preloaded the next gear, and it just slips in and im back to WOT with only a slight twist of the wrist. doesn't a QS like the dynojet one just do this for you?
