All hail the king of DIRTWARS 49n

Houston's own flattrack patriarch Johnny Johnson went undefeated all night to be crowned DW-I champion! There were a lot of really fast dudes from all disciplines that kept him honest and made him EARN that win. Every race produced insane passing and excitement. It was so badass! Thanks to everyone who made it out or competed. don't miss the next one on May 11.

i had a great time and saw some really fun racing. There was an awful lot of "rubbin". I went down on the first lap in my first heat and sprained my wrist, jammed my thumb and was out for the rest of the event, so i was a spectator after that but i had a blast anyway. The wrist is feeling better today but the thumb is still tender and swollen to half again its normal size. If i had not gone down, i would have still been in the bottom 5 or so, there were some fast folks out there.

Great fun, even for spectators. I got a 2nd and 3rd place in my heats and advanced to LCQ to run neck and neck with son SidShaddock and Foxracer only to have a photo finish loss to Fox after Sid crashed out last lap. Fox went on to the Race C to be beaten by fellow BRAWPer KrazeKris47. I had a great race despite my rebroken ribs from a fall in practice at another oval track sw of Houston saturday morning. Kris couldn"t stop when I lowsided and came boot and bike first into my left side, ya thats the crip side, lol. I have great go pro and pics of the event.

Best moment...father son running 1 - 2 in the LCQ then posing with THE champ.

Great event, good memories, another BRAWP BUS roadtrip on the logbook of life.

Had an awesome time, I think the coolest moment was seeing my son riding bikes with Colins Edwards son in between races. I managed a 2nd, 3rd and 4th in heats and an advance to the LCQ. That Yamalube bike just wasnt running right. I got my footran over, avoided crashing and did some serious flat tracking, all in all in was an AWESOME night AND I got to hang with Colin Edwards. I really enjoyed running second behind Johnny Johnson as well. I think I will be attending DW 2! Go pro footage to follow!

I wish I could've been more relaxed for the races but the atmosphere was way too cool! I was pumped. Of the 5 races I ran, I got two wins, a third, and two fourths. Out there on the flat track stuff, man, SLOW AND SMOOTH IS FAST. Gooooooooosblahblah

My first race with Mark Tuttle (Red gear). Kinda scary sliding out with another guy 12 inches off your side.

it was indeed a great show... i was dissapointed to spend most of my evening as a spectator instead of riding, but the show was great... i am not sure i have ever seen so much bumping and rubbing...it was not a thrill a minute, it was several thrills a minute
