Commuting in boot?

I daily commute on my bike and I am getting boots at Two Wheel Toys but I cant decide if I should get the full length or not? My concern is will they be comfortable to walk around in (to and from classes). I Plan on getting the Cortech Latigo air road race boots.

you are most likely going to wear the soles out walking a lot on boots of that type. they look like good boots though.

I have a pair of Sidi B2 boots that are similar, and they were definitely not designed for a lot of walking, I was comfortable enough, but the soles did wear more than I liked. I ended up getting a pair of Aplinestars One-O-One riding shoes and would add shin guards to them when i rode to commute.

I always commuted in my boots. At first I'd take a pair of shoes with me, but then I just started keeping shoes in my office.

Keep a pair at the office. Not sure how that would work for classes. If shoes were needed they went in the backpack.

Then I bought a cruiser with saddle bags.

My Latigo Airs are comfortable to wear all day, but v4lu3s is right, the sole will wear quickly if you walk around in them. Take some shoes with you and change when you get there.

Except an Apache helicopter. An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine.

I also have A* boots I ride in. And bring shoes for the office. When I was in school I left my gear in my research lab.

Sidi boots offer replacement soles when you wear down the soles. Like rykoson said, get a boot that offers ankle support. Leave some shoes at work do you can change into.

I wear sidi vertigo boots all the time when riding, and I always carry a pair of shoes in my backpack as well.

+1 on ankle support.. there really is no point in buying boots without that.
