This. With the drastic temperature changes, sometimes 50, in the matter of days make sure to check your pressures every 2-3 days. You could lose quite a few lbs in those few days.

Also make sure ALL your lights work. Takes a min and a half, but I've seen riders with break lights not working

It's not fun or enjoyable if you are being too safe.

That's called a risk. Taking risks and riding unsafe are two totally different things.

Yes I'm serious. Outside air temperature affects tire pressure either way.

Thanks for the reminder. It has a been a of a work week and my extended family is having various crises...so my Italian, V-twin, transverse, air cooled, old style, slow, only 50 HP, but FUN cafe clubman will get a workout this weekend. Riding is the best stress buster for me. The weekend looks excellent. Spring always seems to spike the MC accident and death notices.

Of course not weight, PSI = pounds per square inch. Use Hurst's quote for context, ex. lbs = pounds

I took Patrick's basic maintenance class a month ago, and now check tire pressure, oil levels, coolant levels, and lube and clean my chains every 500 miles. He about scared the out of me when describing what happens when you neglect your chain and tires.

No chain or coolant on the Guzzi----just check the oil and tire pressure and Luigi is good to go...and lights of course and for anything loose...the twin vibrates, just a bit...
