everyday Leathers?

Does anyone wear leathers here in Houston other than at the track? It just seems too hot here.

I wear my leathers when we go out on long sprinted runs.
But not really to and from work or the gym etc...

Just got some leathers (only had mesh and textile until now) and they feel weird, but I'm not planning on wearing them much (if any) on the street.

Properly fitted textile gear with armor is plenty for street speeds (READ: DON'T RUN TRACK SPEEDS ON THE STREET) but lots of folks wear perf'd leathers and even in the summer it works out as long as you keep hydrated and are moving. Stopping is the hard part...

Come on. I always yell safety first but leathers on a day to day basis just doesnt work. I for one cannot show up to work in leathers, all sweaty, smelling like an armpit. I have to wear slacks and dress shoes and talk to people all day. And i use my bike almost everyday. But i know im taking a risk on some rash so i take it easy and watch out for everything when im riding.

I wear my mesh, helmet, gloves at all times. Just full leathers is a lil much for daily use.

Good enough. When you just say flat out no, it sounds like you are not wearing gear...

Sorry for the confusion folks. Move along now. Nothing to see here...

i just picked up some under the clothing gear.. basically knee/shin elbow/forearm and back/check/shoulders and you can wear jeans and a t-shirt over them.. the elbow pads will show unless you have a hoodie on but i think they are the for this area.. might get some rash on my or my hip.. but I'll take my chances.

I always prefer my sunglasses and ball cap with my fav. pair of denim shorts though.. shirts mess up my tan so i go shirtless most of the time

jk please dont do that.
