i dont think it will ever happen. but I would LOVE to see it. dont know how much i would trust doing it either.. i feel safer doing it at 100+ in light traffic than i do doing it at 20 when traffic is stopped, cagers here are dicks.

there is a lane splitting bill in the TX house, but it didn't make it to vote, maybe next yr.

it's similar to the helmet law in that you have to have the same qualifications as the "no helmet law"to lane split legally.

i'd have no prob. splitting in bumper to bumper traffic. it's not for everybody.

use that overheating bikes B.S. for people who don't ride.

don't like cars cuttin you off or traffic in general. quit riding or move to the country.

riding the shoulder is some panzy girl move, i can drive an 18 wheeler down the shoulder, so again, what makes YOU so special that you can do it on your bike, and i can't do it in my car. i pay road taxes likes you, prolly more since i have 2 streetbikes.

do i ride.........lol. just a lil. no old timer like you.

notice the picture the news channel used was of a crotch rocket and it was blurred, giving the impression of speed.

When I was in California for a while I got used to lane splitting and never had a problem with the cars. What I have seen in Texas, I would be extreemly cautious splitting lanes here.

Riding the Emergancy lane= knows what punctureing your tire.

I use it to dodge the Crazy that try to cut you off or swerve in front of me. as far as lane splitting i carry the bill with me and cover the part that says to be enactied (sp?) and they buy it because there not versed on it LOL. only one cop actually knew and he laughed and said thats a good one fallow me threw the traffic i wouldn't want some one to run you off the road.

the Cagers here don't care if your on a bike or not they will get as close as they want. o and if they get in front watch out for any objects being thrown at you.

i need to excersice my right to carry. how do i do that? Now i know why crusiers are always packing.

Other than that, you hit the nail on the head. If everyone followed the laws and added just a dash of common courtesy, the traffic situation would not be as bad as it is in the city.
