looks like he just lost traction. he never touched his front brake and was rolling on the throttle. that's just a very tricky rode. sand and asphalt don't make a good mix for traction. if you watch the close calls video on this channel you will see about half a dozen people almost lose it in the same exact fashion. rolling on the power and it just starts to let go.

Why is it that they drive stright into the asphalt?
SOrry might be a n00bish question, just wondering. In the R6's situation it didnt look like he was gonna fall be he ran off the road..

Bikes tend to follow where your eyes are looking. R6guy saw the cliff face getting closer and focused on it mid turn I think and then subconsciously steered his bike right into the thing he was trying to avoid. Look where you want to go and the rest will usually fall into place.

Wow thanks for the response, never noticed that. I might take that into consideration next time that I ride

I swear every video I see of crashes on that road are at that spot. Like there's is a spot in the road where the asphalt is too smooth.

there's about 10 million things that could cause you to run wide. seems to me like he might have gotten scared, tightened up on the bars, and went wide into the dirt. BUT that's just speculation. i'm sure not he even knows what he did.
