hi, i'm the one that pointed you in this direction. i HIGHLY recommend you take the MSF class before you really get out on the streets.

i teach the class at spring branch ISD, and my next teaching class date is 3/31

well try and do it ASAP, it's vicious cycle, you can afford the bike, but not proper training. so you waddle around for a bit. the first time an emergency comes up, you toss the bike down the road. now the $ is spent to fix the bike and you haven't learned a thing. there's a reason 80-90% of 600SS bikes are wrecked.

Get good gear. That means helmet, motorcycle jacket, motorcycle gloves (Not dirtbike gloves either) over the ankle boots and I recommend some leather motorcycle pants as well. BTW, a back protector as well is a nice thing to have.

First and foremost, take the MSF class. If you cannot afford all of this, then sell everthing because riding a sportbike isn't cheap. Wait until you have to buy tires every 1000-3000 miles depending on how you ride at $150@.
