Progressive Insurance is Killing me!

So I just received my new policy that will begin in April. It's now over $2,100 to fully cover my 2001 R6 and 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R. No tickets, own a home, been with them for over 10 years. Brutal. I tried a local State Farm agent and they were no help.

Any recommendations on better insurance carriers would be greatly appreciated.

2012 675R in a houston zip code = $$$$ no matter how you look at it.

It's why I bought a Speed 3.

Edit: I'm with progressive too. There are a couple guys in Houston that specialize in bike insurance, though I dont have any contact info. I'm an hour North

Bundling is always a good start. Both bikes and cars with Geico. Full coverage for both bikes $48 a month, with 500 deductible. Your maritial status factors into their crazy equation as well.

Thanks for all the replies!

I just ran a quote on Geico and it's $1,000 more for the same coverage. In reviewing the quote it's comp and collision that is the crusher. No way I'd go without either one of those on the new bike. Removing it from the 2001 R6 does not take it down that much. Man this hobby is expensive!

I'm going to try some other carriers, but I have a feeling that all the quotes will come back high due to the 675R.

Did you try dairyland or foremost? Does your policy cover uninsured/under insured? Those could bump up the price huge too..

I went to Geico from progressive, no tickets married and old for a rocket rider, progressive for liability wanted 138 a month, geico is 98 a year. that was about 10 years ago. look around, your age marital status how long you've had a MC license your credit rating all consider into the cost

I'll add these two to the list. Yes it includes uninsured and under insured. I've had enough issues with uninsured motorists over the past 10 years. To me this coverage is well worth it.

When I got the quote from Geico all of that stuff was factored in (which I thought was interesting). 47, married, with kids, own a house, no tickets, MC license for over 20 years, no claims, and credit score is in good shape. Still perplexed by the cost from both Geico and Progressive.

also the replacement cost of the bike, I pay 84 a year for minimum liability and an extra 60 a year for theft now but my bike is kinda old like me
