Yet another newb ... to this forum and riding

Passed my MSF in just las month (Feb), got my bike two weeks ago and got my license yesterday ... all I need now is some experience without killing myself.

Bought a used 2003 Ninja 250 ... I'm a small guy, so the bike fits ... plus everone I've talked to suggested it.

Now I'm looking to see if there are anyone in the Friendswood area who wouldn't mind letting a newb tag along and learn some basic riding skills beyond what was taught at the MSF course.

I've been riding on my own for the past two weekends, just around the neighborhood, but have not gotten the curage yet to get on any of the main streets.

Anyway, that's me for now.

Thomas, looks like you are right on track! I also started on a 250. Stay in the neighborhood until you have practised enough starts, stops, turns and feel comfortable enough about the bike and then slowly venture out further.

I had my major break throughs at about 500, 2000 and 4000 miles. So, from my experience, take your time. Be safe out there and welcome to the forum!

I've got gear on order right now. Can't wait for it to show up. In the mean time, it's my helmet, light leather gloves, leather hiking boots and jeans with snowboarding shin/knee guards.

I'm an old guy (33) so with age comes a distinct awareness of my own mortality ... believe me.
