Speeding ticket on moto

Ok guys so I just got a speeding ticket yesterday 88 in a 65.. Yeah I know shouldnt have been speeding but im on a bike and I tend to speed..

Any advice on how to get out of it or lessen the charge would be great I just wanna know what you guys have done or what you think I should do..

I heard this may work

~ When in court ask for the cops paperwork from the date of the violation. in some cases I heard they dont have the paperwork so your (free to go)

just looking for advice I didn't want to rely on taking defensive driving because you cant get another ticket for a year. but if I have to in the end I will.

Why don't you do defensive driving? Is that not an option? That or take the deferred option and don't drive like a dong for a year.

Hire a lawyer, around 50-60 bucks. I got one going 65 on 45. He ticketed me at 55. Lawyer got it dismissed. took a while but didnt have to pay anything else.

Same here. You couldn't take defensive driving if over 25.

OP, where you get the ticket?

These guys are right, hire a lawyer for $50 for 1 ticket. Citizen only charges $50 and thats what im using right now and have been recommended from some people also Frensel, I have heard good things as well. Most likely your ticket will be dropped. Again, Most likely not for sure and I wouldnt really worry about it. Most of us on motorcycles speed at some point, and if anyone gives you about it just ignore them seriously. Just obviosly try to control your self a little better and maybe get a radar detector to help avoid this stuff. good luck

and yes defensive driving is out the option, he could have written 84/65 to help you out but he didnt.

Re: Speeding ticket on moto

Defensive driving is available for cases 24 or less miles over the limit. This is not city or court specific. It is state law.

88 in a 65 is 23 miles over. DDC is available if you meet the other reqs.
