I am looking into other options such as a smaller and more private track day where most of the riders at the track are close friends so in case something happen at least we know that the support and help is there.
oh, the trust and support will be there until they run wide and clip the front wheel of your BMW and you ask for compensation. The track is a calculated risk....don't want the risk of being taken out? You're gonna have to stay in the pits and spectate. I didn't vote, but if my pockets were deeper it'd be track all day long....it's why I bought a Harley for commuting duty. A SS bike would have been an invitation to ruin my marriage.

those are not "friends" they are riding buddies! Last Sunday my friend Manuel let one of our mutual friends ride his spare R1, at the gas station he stepped on some gravel and dropped the bike slowly to the ground, the damage was very minimal, mostly surface scratch, nothing broken at all..... a riding buddy would say oops i am sorry man, a good friend will write you a check

If money was not an issue, I still would not give up street riding. I would still limit myself to the track. I get bored easy.

No one said it was. There is a poll and was asking people a question. Some will like track some will like street. Neither of them is a "life". It's a hobby/sport.
