These are the boots I wear, $180 and no labels nor other colored letters anywhere.
They look stealth and hug my feet and ankles really good, comfortable and sturdy.

On weekends and all other rides, I wear proper motorcycle boots.
The problem with slip on boots is, in the violence of a crash they can be slung off your feet very easily. I've seen it happen.
If you can get lace ups it would be better. I confess I wear lace up work boots on my bike sometimes, as mentioned they are better than tennis shoes and as good as many "motorcycle" boots.

This is true. The key is proper fit, and it takes some time for these style boots to break in to achieve best fit. I usually don't ride with brand new pairs for this reason. I would wear them around off bike until they break in, then they take a considerable effort to come off my foot.

Seen tons of auto/pedestrian accidents where all types of footwear are separated from the victim. Just sayin'

Hehe... I have a Browning Buckmark that is done the same way - pink stripes over an otherwise regular Buckmark. It apparently sat in the cabinet at Academy unloved for a long while, so they marked it way down. Pink stripes or not, I could care less.

Maybe I should pay attention to the women footwear section and scoop up a pair on clearance for cheap. Pink can easily be painted over.
