Yeah valid point I suppose, what if someone lays their bike out there? tough to get it back, but idk if youre going 10 mph above posted speed limit, seems almost impossible to crash. 300 miles i dont think, or too me doesnt sound tiring but i do ride a lot and do long distances. idk i tihnk they should be fine, but thats just my opinion. to help out if anyone does need a tow back.. I live not far from bucees, youre welcome to borrow my trailer to pick up a bike in a worse case scenario which I highly doubt would happen. Cant come out to pick it up or anything since I will be at work. Also Im sure they will take breaks as needed to make sure everyone rests up and has their focus at tip top shape

The route is 300+ miles? Lol. I'm gonna have to fill up like 4 times lol. I have 300 odometer miles right now so I guess I'll be ready for my first service after Sunday lol

Wow man, you've been going on and on about this. If this is the attitude you will have "only faster speed will allow you to have fun on this ride" I suggest you sit this one out. Wait for a moderate one to be posted or post it yourself and lead at whatever speed you want to go.

This is a NOOB specific ride a lot of people want to keep it as controlled as possible for the benefit of everyone, we get it you're fast. Ok, we're all impressed.

Now either fall in under the ride's rules or find another one.

i just did the math and its 40miles to the meetup for me, and another 44miles to navasota from meetup (if you take google map's route) so one way, is about 88miles, so all day should be in the ballpark of about ~176miles.

let me just say, im super excited for sunday. ive been hearing the roads are awesome and there might be some forest roads.

No need to apologize, the original post was pretty clear I think.

It's just that on these rides when we start to have "can we go faster" discussions,.the.structure starts to break down...
