You can't fit a side salad in that tiny tummy? I guess you're not familiar with "stranger danger"

Not trying to scare anyone but just be very aware that if you go to fast on 3090without the skill and knowledge of the road...it will bite you.

I agree. I wish that there was such a thing as a noob ride in my past. It was follow, keep up if you can and hope you make back home.

All new riders, come and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge here and the cool people you will meet.

I don't think as many people were doing trackdays back then (2007) so I didn't know much about them. I would have rather learned from instructors at the track day than learning on the open road from unqualified riders. There is no room for error on the street so that's why I don't like the idea of teaching people advanced riding techniques when they are just barely comfortable with clutch control, braking, and freeway riding. They may start to get comfortable on the backroads, and then all of a sudden they are not prepared to negotiate a turn. Noob rides are definitely more practical than trackdays, but I will not be part of it because it's not what I believe in.
Sorry to up the thread I just wanted to chime in on this.

To me: noob rides aren't about teaching the noobs advanced riding techniques, aggressive street riding skills, street lines, body position, or anything along those lines. Noob rides are about getting these guys out and putting some seat time in. Getting them used to riding in groups. Introducing these nice roads we all love to ride to them. And meeting fellow riders and hanging out with people who share our passion. They're meant for the inexperienced, or fellow riders on cruisers, 2up, and anyone else who wants to join in. I think they're a great thing for our community

Well put my man, and the more we help keep them safe and show them the way, the less "went down threads" we all will be reading

I'm down; just going through all the threads: i've never had track time but I have been riding for 8 years most in the back roads in North Carolina and Michigan. I wont have my boots until next week but I have alpinestar shoes for the time being. I think it was made clear and is long as its just to get introduced to group riding and getting familiar with the back roads you can count me in.
