Don't waste your time on Lime Creek road. Too much construction, road sand/gravel/debris/traffic to have any real fun. You best bet is to go west and/or south from Austin for good rides.

FM1431 from Leander to Marble Falls is decent especially after you get past Lago Vista.

North of Marble Falls there is Park Road 4 which is a fun little run as well.

Southwest of Austin there is also some decent roads around Driftwood/Dripping Springs/Wimberly/Blanco area...

Of cousre if you have a whole day to ride go frther southwest to Kerrville/Leakey area...

Let me further qualify my Lime Creek road stance. If you want to go see some pretty country and have a nice spirited ride, go ahead but be very cautious. If you are looking to ride aggressive I would advise against that on Lime Creek. There are wrecks there every weekend from guys riding over their head and from gravel in corners, etc...

Also, one more thing. Be very carfeul on bridges & flyovers in the Austin area. There is still tons of sand & gravel on them from the snow/ice storm last month. 99% of it is pushed to the sides, but when a Semi or car runs wide it kicks it all back out on the road...

"Starting from San Marcos I take Ranch road 12 and continue west where it turns into 32. You can see the real curvy part called Devils backbone a few miles before 3424. I take a left at 3424 and go south to 306.... Then head south around canyon lake and follow 306 all the way to I-35 which then I take north back to san marcos"

oh, that sucks, you really didn't have to break the law to have a good time out there...last time i went out there, a guy on a sport touring bike went missing for a few days...found him dead.
