New tire Tuesday!

Getting the Michelin pilot road 2. I commute almost everyday on my bike so I figured these will do. Does anyone have any feedback on these tires?

Here is my rear tire I have now haha.

Pilot Road 2? Tire technology is always improving, why not choose the newest version of the Pilot Road series?

I've been loving my BT-023s. They last more than 5k miles before hitting the wear bars (and it looks like you are going a bit further than that) on my heavy- bike so you should get some serious mileage out of them.

Edit: I should read the OP. You'll get some good mileage out of the PR2s though, good tires.

$175 for a rear PR2? I would think you can get a rear PR3 for about that much. But if $175 is with installation thrown in, then it's not bad. Still, I would pay a few bucks more and get the latest and greatest.

Psycho Pete swears by the PR2s, all he rides. When I replaced the set on my XB since I had the money and do more bad weather riding I opted for the PR3s and had Pete mount and balance them. LOVE EM LOVE EM LOVE EM. Bike came with Metzlers. Night and day diff. I ride about 120 miles a day and I have never had the PR3 loose traction in ANY weather. Even on flooded, slick, houston roads they just stick. Don't handle my gravel driveway as good as the metzlers so I am destined to lay it down in front of the neighbors.

Me and Pete were racing the HOV lane on 290, passed cars, hit a deep puddle. His PR2s hydroplaned for a second, mine never lost traction. Love em Love em Love em.
