Well my paint question was semi serious. To get a bike back to like factory and u pull the panels... Is that a 500 job or a multi thousand dollar job ?

Re: Hayabusa question?

I've had a few bikes over the years. 600's 1000's and now im on my 6th Busa. Yea I like to drag race, but a stock wheelbase hayabusa is just as nimble on the twisties as my 600 or 1000. These bikes are an all around bike for whatever you like. I've taken them on many road trips and put several thousand miles on the back of one. I might have a kinda biast opinion, but that's only because I have spent more time one than any other bike.
I'm sure there people who will disagree about how they handle, they're probably the ones who have no experience on a hayabusa.

The weight is noticeable but not intimidating at all. I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs and have no issues making a u-turn within 2 lanes.

I say get one. It sounds like it will fit your needs. I have seen plenty of people get around trackdays on them.

I also like the idea of the B-King, just have to get used to the styling.

Have you looked at the SV1000S? I may be a little biased on the subject, but i'd recommend checking it out...you can pick one up much cheaper than a 'Busa (don't get me wrong, I am a fan of the 'Busa), and the insurance is cheaper, too.

just a thought...

i had an '08 that was set up for handling vs stretched for drag, and it doesn't compare nimbleness to my current ride.

but it was fine for what i did, and did tail of dragon w/ her too.

a stock busa is more then prob 90+% out there need.

Busa and ZX14 can be either hypersport tourer or dragbike, depending on your preference. The weight and long wheelbase do affect handling - in good ways and bad. Great for high-speed stability, but isn't as willing to turn in as liter bikes and 600 SS's. Still, they handle way better than just about all the cruisers out there. They may be big heavy sportbikes, but they are still sportbikes.

This Motorcycle-USA comparo samples the Busa vs. 2 other flavors of sport tourers. I have 2 out of 3 bikes in it, and their evaluations are spot on.

This one compares Hypersports to the SS1000RR.

It all depends on what you want to do with it.
