$10,000 in toll fee's

some dude just got arrested for having $10k in outstanding tolls.

it;s only a class 3 misdemeanor, so it's not a big deal criminally, BUT they can/will go after him civilally (sp?) and sieze property. they can also deny registration if you don't pay up.

he was #3............ on the list of toll violaters.

that sucks for him but i dont have any sympathy. I actually PAY for my ez tag service and i bet the congestion on the belt would be cut in half if we could remove the violaters. And the same goes for westpark tollway.

FYI running a toll not a serious crime Running from a Cop a serious crime that is all

The term felony is used in common law systems for very serious crimes, whereas misdemeanors are considered to be less serious offenses. This distinction is principally used in criminal law in the United States legal system, where the federal government generally considers a crime punishable by more than five days up to a year in prison to be a misdemeanor, while considering crimes punishable by greater than a year in prison to be felonies; crimes of five days or less in prison, or no prison at all, are considered infractions.[1]

Isn't it like theft of over $500 starts a felony charge? Also, I fairly certain that repeat misdemeanor offenses can be bumped into a felony charge.
