from a guy that used to be a pro gamer..

xbox.

yes sony has good stuff. but if you want good games and good service. microsoft has it.

online service...

playstation = free
xbox = $50/yr

(that free service is like anything else that is free. its . pay $50 and enjoy your self or do it for free and enjoy the headaches.)

games.... just look into it.. 360 games rock.

and most of all... you will NEVER play any Halo game on a playstation. (unless you Mod it.)

I have the 360 and the PS3, with call of duty 3 in both of them and using a HD TV I switched between both games and could not tell a difference between the two. So I now use my PS3 as a blue ray player, now that is awsome, you can really tell how much better the picture is with the Blueray.

Seems like the controllers battery does not last as long on the PS3, and no vibration, not really a big deal though. Online has no sound, that is a real bummer.

360, I like the egonomics of the controll alot better, and the online has sound, really 50.00 year is not that much.

is the bigger hard drive required for online play? whats the point of having the larger HD, faster gaming speed or just online speed.

the bigger HD is just for updates on xbox live, saved games, and profiles. i would get one with the hard drive anyways.

more storage..

you can use the 360 with your computer.. (media center) you can put movies/songs/ on the HD .. thats where i hide all my illegal .. jk.. but you get the point.. idk about the ps3.. i looked at the GAME graphics and said no way.. its not any better than the 360.. and i could care less about a blue ray player.. and i love my online play... the only thing that will change your online play is your inet server.. i use premium road runner and it is the bomb ... i get my friends to bridge me host in all halo games and it is the most lag free ever. and on server based games you will be runnin smooth when other guys are all laggy.. worth the upgrade if you are going to play online much.. to start out though.. regular road runner is pretty good.
