I'm all for it, but calling it safe is BS. Safe would be to stay totally the away from cars.

The traffic a few days ago was REALLY bad on i-10 east side on the west side of houston. I was on my bike coming back from RR, and so I jump over to the feeder side and its just totally dead stop on that side.. I was thinking about lane splitting instead I started driving on the side walk hehe I probably looked crazy, but no pedestrians were there

repost. i know cuz i posted first!!!! haha :P

the only thing wrong with this vid is the out dated stats and the half assed explanation of why it's safer. if more research actually went into this vid then i think there would be more impact.

but as it stands, cagers in texas WILL take offense to you splitting lanes. certain people don't like to be passed AT ALL. whether it be because of the "cutting in line" mentality, or they think its a race etc etc. or there are those in their big gas guzzling vehicles that can not stand the fact that you can zip by doing 30+ mpg in heavy traffic where as they are stuck getting 10 mpg.

This. This. This.

If it ever becomes legal here in TX, I doubt I'd ever do it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to...however I have absolutely no faith in Houston cagers. Between their cluelessness and their attitudes, it would get ugly, especially if someone cut me off or opened their door on purpose. My helmet would rearrange their hoods with a couple of headbutts.

I did the other day going down kuykendahl or however you spell it lol.. It was super sketchy to me to be honest. I hate hitting those reflectors and plus going by those F250's with their big donkey d*ck mirrors. I was getting terrible looks and I was barely moving.. I guess it varies depending on the street you're on..
