Tell us about your race weekend - CMRA Round 1

How'd you do? Tell us about your races.

I was tinkering with the bike and didn't hear the call for the riders meeting, so in race 4 (SSBN w/ 38 riders) I pull up to my spot. Jeff steps onto the ladder to start the race, 2, 1, and everyone takes off, but Jeff hasn't raised the green flag. I was like, WTF? All of you jumped the gun. I'm still sitting there to see what Jeff was gonna do for the entire field for jumping the gun. (I had no idea they were using the light behind him to start the race.)..... That's what I get for missing the riders meeting.... Never again! Well, after entering sugar & spice as the last bike in the 1st wave, I was able to work my way up to 13th place. I was pretty upset when I came off the track, still not knowing why everyone took off before the green flag.

Next was race 7 (SSAN - 25 riders) & then race 10A (SBBN - 34 riders), I got a better start and was able to finish in 8th place in both races.

Soon followed race 14 (F40N - 18 riders), were after a bad start, I was able to claw my way to a 5th place finish.

Race 16 (SBAN - 26 riders) I was able to secure an 8th place finish and in race 18 (F1N) I finished in 9th.

Overall, I did better than I expected. I have been strugling with the new bike, but found some settings that felt better and know how I can make up another couple seconds. My fastest lap of the day was 1:46.001 in the SSBN race, and with a few little tweeks, I think I can make a few podiums at TWS (Texas World Speedway) for round 2.

2010 too fiddy

another coming soon....

My CBR was not ready for the Sunday Sprints.
But after a long Friday night and Saturday morning, we got the endurance bike ready, or so we thought.

we registered really late, like an hour and a half before the race. So we started dead last. i started off the first leg, and after sugar and spice i had moved up like 6 places. But after gut check I went to upshift and nothing was there. . gear shift rod came off, so i had to do the remaining lap in 4th gear. pitted in and lost 15 minutes before we were able to get it back together. then on the third change, we ran out of fuel as Mark (blue pine) took his turn. so we lost another 7 minutes there. But overall we finished 21st and was hoping for a top 15th, but now we know. None of my team, Ivan, Mark and I had ever rider the short track, or our bike for that matter, so I am very proud to say that my team rocked it. Mark was able to run a 1:14, freakin lil asian is fast.

Thank you to everyone who helped out, it took a lot of hands and people coming together to get the first races done.
Thanks to: Larry at Track Junkie Racing, GnS Racing Transport, Halffast Group, K-Pop, Gavin and Ana for lending me the shifter bolt, and all the advice on running the mini's. Ridesmart Motorcycle School, Thank you to Wes, you saved the day early in the morning. . and thank you to BRawp Racing these guys helped out so much, coolest crew ever. Thank you to Billy (HPC)for the awesome tire warmers. John Rangel, for helping with the Pits.
AND most off all thank you to Patrick, (fox351) dude, you did so much. he didnt know what he was getting himself into when he showed up this morning. !!!!
there is an endless amount of people there that helped, thank you for everything from HALFFAST. BOOM BABY

Weekend was ups and downs for me.

Friday practice was good and felt great. Sunday morning first practice went well and ended up crashing in second practice and we couldn't get the bike back together for the race. Sucks because we had the pace to win the c classes :(

But hey that's part of it. See y'all at TWS (Texas World Speedway)

Pretty good weekend for me.

212 Decals Endurance team won 1st in class, 2nd overall. Working on getting a bigger fuel tank to hopefully complete for 1st overall.

I got a 2nd and (2) 3rds sprinting on Sunday. Clipped a 1:34.4 which, sadly, isn't fast enough to win in the Expert A Classes.

Congrats to everyone that got out there, gave it a try and didn't puss out.

Fought suspension issues all weekend my bike wouldn't turn in and would push me wide in every turn. Had few fun battles with friends out there. Ran very very slow(15 secs slower then my best lap there) since I crashed the wekend before still had the nervous jitters.

BTW mike you ever try that inside pass again during practice and well have problems... but karma is a isn't it

Get one thing str8 homie. If you are in my way in practice I will pass you. Don't like it? Get off the track. Karma? Me crashing? Lol it happens.

You continue to talk to me and yada yada your a squid. (Oh I'm 15 seconds slower because my crash scared me...))) wtf is that? I crashed 2 weeks ago got up and went faster. You obviously don't have a racers heart. Even on wfo Brandt and Allan questioned you. Lol

It's easy for you to talk on the boards. But in the pits you just walk by with your head down. Don't lie we all saw you and would laugh.

Grow up. If your going to talk back it up.

Look forward to seeing you at TWS (Texas World Speedway) if you don't quit!

I did see a lot of ppl making passes that was uncalled for and crazy during friday and sunday practices, I heard multiple ppl getting crashed and hit , my son came off the track after getting bumped 2 times in 1 lap.

But our weekend went great finished all races and brought home the bikes in 1 piece.

Hey are you Dave that won Race 3?

If it was you, you pulled off THE MOST heroic pass coming into the carousel for the win! I was watching up at the office. On the last lap, I saw you HAUL into that left- hander to the wall. You deserved that win. AgentOrange said he thought it was you. Good on ya.

It's just practice afterall not a race i'm good on that aspect.

congrats on your podiums! feeling when dave 1FC passes you though pretty awesome you held him off for 4 laps *mad props for that*
