Great news on the coverage! Dude is gonna get his head shrunk. Geico will recover what they have to pay out on this claim. Even if it means skinning him alive to sell the hide.

been following your thread since it started, sooo glad to hear you had uninsured.

I just added uninsured to my policy last month and can't believe I hadn't done it sooner.

Keep the updates coming, and heal up man!

first off thanks for all the interest in my situation guys. never expected so much positive support

ok so not much to update at this point. the bike got towed to stubbs, deemed a total loss, then towed off to bike heaven. next step is to go and sign over the title to geico and agree on a price for the bike.

as far as my injuries go, i had an xray done on my foot and my big toe is officially broken. have been taping it to my second toe. i am back at work but trying to stay off it. the road rash is scabbing over, still hurts and is still stiff. overall the pain is getting less and less as time goes on. even road a couple bikes around at work today

update: picking up the insurance check in the morning(for the bike and helmet). should have a new ride by saturday. will be ordering new gear soon as well.

as for the injuries, can pretty much walk normal now, still some pain hanging on. still don't have full flexibility in my knees, but it's getting there.

next update should be with pictures

Good to hear it, dude!

Did you settle out of court, or is he facing charges?

he is at least facing some very hefty fines, in addition to court costs for two cases(law suit and state), so that of course would mean geico is pursuing him for what they had to pay me.

now my knowledge of the law isn't too adept, but if he can't pay the state fines(or refuses)he would be facing some jail time.
