I always run 36 front/42 rear because that's what Honda and two techs from Bridgestone recommend

They last along time. I run the pr3 and the rear lasted 5000+ miles. They are great for the street, and back wood road racing. They did ok at the track but I was in level 1. I will probobally go with takeoff's for the track, and keep running the pr3 on the street.

Craig, you're running the Pilot Road 3, Bill is referring to the new Pilot Power 3.

That said, I'll give the first 5 MH'ers interested in trying the new Power 3's a smoking deal on them.

PP3 = PILOT POWER 3, Michelin's newest replacement for the Pilot Power Pure

Tire talk

Quote:
The Pilot Power 3 is the much-anticipated replacement for the Michelin Power Pure tire. The Pilot Power 3 is an all new high-performance, dual-compound sportbike tire designed for the street or the track.
Features:
New 2CT+ compound on rear tire enhances tread rigidity and cornering stability by extending the harder compound underneath the softer shoulder compound for added cornering stability especially when accelerating out of turns
Casing profile optimized for excellent feedback and handling
All-new compounds for maximum wet grip: up to 4.5 seconds per lap faster on a wet track than Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires
Semi slick tread design maximizes contact patch for excellent dry grip - more than 4 seconds faster on a dry track than Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires
Excellent longevity - 20% more tread life versus Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires

S20's are pretty confidence inspiring. I love the grip and feel of them. Rear won't last for . 1800 miles for me....

I ran with a Q2 front and PR3 rear, the PR3 was a waste of money for me. Would have been better off with a BT-016.

Went back to S20's again...love em...but rear doesn't last me long.

Have an S20 front Dunlop GP rear takeoff right now....not sure what rear tire I will get next...

Starting to think I will get better money and enjoyment out of race tires riding at the track!! Too much BS going on street riding..popo, inattentive cagers, etc...I will never give up the Hill Country trips though....

Okay that's my 3 beer post for the night

Good to hear. I've got 'em too and am pretty happy with street and track performance.

I've ran a standard plug while on a weekend long ride trip and it worked for a few hundred miles. Flew out while we were hauling down the straight section of 337 into Camp Wood. We re-plugged and kept on rolling

Here's some footage that was shot while we were waiting for some supplies...

I sell a couple of sets for $239 for members to try out. I suprised by the lack of interest in this new tire from Michelin. The Pilot Power 2CT's were very popular. This price is for a 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 set only. Wild West Honda, ask for Bill in parts. Thanks.

Awesome price Bill thanks for hooking us up. I'll test em out and write a review of how they fare.

Cost on the Michelin's is much higher. After researching the internet, it looks like Chaparral Motorsports has the best pricing. They are charging $146 for the rear tire and $116 for the front with $8 shipping for each tire. $239 should be a very competive price. As with anything, I will match or beat online pricing whenever possible.
