Free mods for an 04 Gsxr 600

I have an 04 Gsxr 600 and the secondary butterflies don't open like they should, so I have to open them by hand on the left side of the tank..... Will it hurt anything if I don't replace the module that opens them? And I've been told that if I bypass them and kept them open it gets better performance out of the bike..... If I need to replace it can i just get the module or do I have to buy the throttle bodies with it already on and pre set?

You just loose some low end and increase high end

Its also a pain if you do allot of parking lot pimpin. Very jerky throttle control

How are you going to keep them open?

When the secondary throttle servo went out on mine I had to buy the whole assembly. It wasen't made to be able to switch the servo out. You can remove the secondary throttle flap valves, but it won't clear the Fi code if yours is on.

I kept mine open by taking the gears out of the servo and gluing the main gear to say open. This way i was able to keep the secondary valves.

I had a guy put a new module on it but I was told by him that it runs lean without it workin properly, and then I had someone tell me to unscrew the buttflies off the shaft I just don't want to blow up the motor the next time it goes out

Buy a power commander. That will solve the lean issue.
