Dirt, Street, Track, Dual Sport, I like em all.

Yeah, a bit nippy out both sat and sun mornings. Keep your tire pressure a little lower but not so low it will overheat or pinch a tube. I dont do a lot of jet changing usually, I am always a lil fat anyway. Should be a great weekend just a lil cool. Everyone bring pleanty of water and drink it often and maybe one or two gatoraids. See yall there.

@bagwell.....How much lower should we set pressures. 1-2 pounds lower. Just trying to see where I should set them. I usually do 18 front and 17 rear cold.

that is about what it was last year...the new guys will be too excited to notice the cold, at least i was...saturday may be cloudy too, so the track will take longer to come in, just keep that in mind and don't get too crazy...it is going to be a blast.

Its kinda trial and error depending on track temp and air temp, but I probably wouldnt go too much lower than that. If its real chilly out I might go one psi lower and see how that is. Im no master at it, just bringing it up.

@MIke ya thats true Im pretty pumped already. I dont plan on riding to hard since Im just trying to get the hang of racing up close in personal, but the competative side in me will be telling me to push harder...lol I guess Ill get some practice after the race school to dial everything in. Do you mind posting up what we should expect to pay for our first day for all us rookies?...haha Im not exactly sure how much to bring. What time do you think we should get there for the riders school? sorry for all the ?'s I just want to be prepared so my morning is just a little less hectic.

@bagwell Ya I think Ill try that. Trial and error I guess.....hopefully no error...lmao

I am working off memory for the fees.
Gate fee should be $10 for one day or $12 for both days.
TMGP membership is about $30
Race school is around $35
Race fee will depend on how many races you enter, with the first 3 being the most expensive, every race after the first 3 is $5 each...I don't remember the exact break down, but i usually spent between 75 and 90 on race fees.. ran 4 to 7 races each time.
after the first weekend you no longer will have the membership or school fee, so the first weekend costs the most... for the first day figure $150 to $175 should cover everything...
endurance cost if you do it will depend on the team, how many members and how you split expenses...
and again, there is no concession stand so take what you want to drink and have as snacks/lunch...
oh, and sun screen and later in the year, insect repellant...

the track is open for practice from 9:30 to 12...
if riders school goes like normal, you should have about an hour and a half.

I don't remember exactly how long it was... but an hour to an hour and a half seems right...class, written test and mock race. It is mostly a safety class.. goes over flags, start proceedure, gear etc.
