where are you camping.? COTA's website has'nt been very forthcoming about it or even parking situation for bikes etx. Are you planing to camp elsewhere and park and ride in?

About the flags here is link to the Rule book, par 1.22.1 (page 42)

http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/al...510002_eng.pdf

They do look confusing, especially the rain ones. If its just rain drops, or a wet section, vs slipery from somthing other than rain, you've got three differnt flags to choose from.

Don't screw up the rain one. The marshalls in Malaysia got a lashing with bambo canes a couple years back and the organizers had to pay a hefty fine when golden boy Marquez crashed and messed up his eye... And if Rossi or Marquez crash toghether with someone else be sure to help them out first... and don't run away with Rossi's bike or he'll grab you by the shirt and drag behind you until you stop.

here's the vid of what I was mentioning from Malaysia. They left his bike out there too and Bradley Smith ran into it with his shoulder almost head first. That was bad weekend for sure. And the paramedics dropped Marco too, not that it would have matterd anyway.

in the first email there was this info:

'Lot K on site has been set up to tent camping and RV parking as well as personal vehicle parking for all volunteers. This space is reserved exclusively for volunteers, no spectator parking. Credentials and Maps will be handed out at the Thursday Dinner'

I'm going to be tent camping in that lot. thats where they have the breakfast at too. not sure if there is a charge, hoping there isn't. on the cota website theres a map of the grounds and you can see a lot k on there.

Just curious, what perks do the volunteers get after all, I had a buddy approach COTA last year, but they were pretty vague about it...

according the info they give, breakfast and lunch are provided... no perks are mentioned. you have to provide your own supper...all the expense is on you.. they got a slight break for us on room prices at a hotel, but really there is nothing listed or promised in the way of perks..and they told us that if our gear is not turned in at the end of the race we will be charged $400 for the jumpsuit.
