No Training Wheels at 3! Videos!

My son , Hayden, has been riding with me since he was one year old.
No Training Wheels at 3! Videos!
I eventually moved up to letting him control the throttle at about one and a half years. The next crucial learning tool we got him was his Strider. He loved it and took an immediate talent to riding it. I believe this one tool was instrumental in him learnig balance.

Then at two years old we bought him his PW50.
Stuntman
We tried to make time whenever possible to ride the PW, and he loved it of course, which brings us to now. He has been riding his bicycle with no training wheels since he was two and a half, so I figured no time like the present.
Here is his first try with no training wheels:
And the next attempt minutes later:
I am shocked at his throttle control and balance at low speeds. We may have a racer on our hands. I will keep ya'll updated.

I cant even begin to express the awesomeness that I felt as he rode off. My wife said she almost started crying! I have to thank her immensely as well, because most women would not let their kid even consider getting on a bike, much less this at his age. She is awesome, and into bikes just as much as myself and the boy.

that's flippin' sweet! Wife and I have been riding bicycles a bunch lately. I outfitted her rig with a kangaroo seat so the daughter can begin to love the wind in her face feeling....sorry to post a pic in your thread. Had to share. I hope we're this far along in a few years....gotta get the crawling thing down first though.

thats awesome! my son got a late start at 10 but it was a awesome feeling seeing him take his first ride. Now my daughter is about to be 4 and she has had a strider since she was 1 1/2, I just started riding around with her letting her control the throttle on my 110 and has been doing great. That alone I was excited about, I cant wait till I put her on her 50 for the first time

Cool! I actually ordered my 2 year old daughter a KTM Strider last week. Hopefully it arrives soon. I've read some good reviews on them. Looks like it worked for your son.

The Strider bikes are catching on at BMX tracks too. There also the Funnest races to watch! Those kids get after it on those things.

Great job on spending time with the kid. Anytime you find an activity that the parents are as exited about as th kids are then good times will result.

In case intersted in racing the strider, Beltway8 BMX has a good turn out for the kids, and Bayou Bike Park down in LaMarque is just gettting started with them too. No doubt your kid will tear it up out there.
