EXCELLENT TRACK BIKE! I love my SV at the track, it has smooth power throughout the power band, you can pick the throttle up early! It feels solid and planted with the suspension upgrades and gives you a woody everytime you pass a bike that has at least 30 horses on you. SV FTMFW!

I was going to make a smart remark about Trey and passing, but i have harrassed him enough for one day... and that is a good bike to play on the track with no doubt.

Or so he's heard. But he's right.

You won't out run too many bikes on the straits but you can still have some fun. This is last year on my 07 SV650. Jump up to about the 5 minute mark to see the SV work on catching and working with other bikes in the corners for the next couple of minutes. This was before I changed my gearing to give more drive out of the corners

First, you have to stop YELLING.

I'll be at MSRH on 3/16 on my SV as well.. That's the plan anyway.

And I personally learned the hard way with my VFR... Don't take it if you can't stand to drop it. I put months putting mine back together a few years back.

Are you going in the same direction? JK. Trey knows SVs and will give you as much info as he has. Solid guy.

That actually sounds like an old race bike, as opposed to your regular TD bike. When buying a race bike, I tend to focus on the following:

*When was the suspension last serviced and by whom? How races/TD have occurred since then.
*Is the engine stock or modified. If modified, who did the modifications and what was changed? How many hours since it was built.
*Does it currently have coolant or water in the radiator? If it is water, how often was it changed? Sometimes, if left for too long, water can oxidize your radiator/engine.
*What other goodies does the bike have, i.e. Rearsets, clipons, etc.

In any case, good luck with your purchase. The SV will give you a lot of corner speed, which then can be translated when riding the R1.
