Once again I am at work and missing the hill climb. When I lived there back in the 80's I went every year. My dad corner worked also.

We used to go up the night before, camp and party. Last I heard they don't allow that now, and with all the fire bans it is a tad cold.

If you guys need a spot to stay or keep the bikes, I live 30 minutes up the road from the bottom of the Peak road now.

I guess he didn't make the start, as there is no 518M on there.

That mountain will eat you if you're not careful!

Sorry for late update guys. I had to pull out of the race and postpone for next year for some business issues that came up at the last minute. : (

If you decide to put it together again next year, let me know.
If I am in country you can stay at the house and use my shop for whatever needs done. Heck I can just dump you on the wife and dog even if I am outta town!!

Hands off my toys tho!!!

shhhot I got the hook up.. you can come up a month prior and we'll go ride the roads until you get a "feel"! LOL!!!

I dunno. I grew up watching them fly up a dirt road. Now it's paved, speeds are faster, but some of that "on the edge" feel is gone.

Granted, the sheer drops are still there.. but it is somehow "different" when they are sideways at 90 mph on dirt, along with those sheer drops.

Traction = comfort level for most, guess thats what made it so tough all those years.
