First time riding a 600

So as you probably already know I bought my first SS bike.. Well this is what I thought.
Doesn't tell me what gear I am which I though it would
Faster than the 250
Really touchy
Couldn't find the kick stand for the longest time (while I was on the bike)
Not as big feeling as I thought(which is good)
It feels like it turns on it own and its crazy smooth
Probably going to have wrist problems later in life
I love the sound
FAST
I can touch the street with only one foot... 5' 4" reppin..
NOT A TOY
Don't need to shift as often like in the 250.
Felt like it can kill me really easily
Would not recommend as a first bike.
Probably going to lower it 2 inches so I can back myself out of places.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

^^ What Brian said about the being short, I have to step off and push my bike backwards if I want to park it on a hill of any kind, Granted I'm not 5'4, but at 5'7 and the seat is 32 Inch's meaning I can only flat foot if I have one foot on the peg.

yeah i'm 5'7" as well.

OP you don't HAVE to have both feet planted on the ground for such a light bike. you just have to be good at handling it with short legs

I had no previous experience with bikes whatsoever, like im not even kidding when i said i never rode a dirt bike or anything. I took the msf class, rode a 900rr for about 2.5 hours from one state to the next in the rain, mixed weather. I dont think the throttle is THAT crazy but you def have to respect it

Don't lower the bike. Deflate the tires. JK. You will get used to it soon enough. Good luck and a good find.

Lowered isn't as bad as many like to let on.

Not sure what this means...... I have trouble getting flat footed on one foot on most bikes. Lowering a bike for anything other than the dragstrip is a bad idea unless you are under 5' tall.

Don't lower it. Just walk it. I'm 5'3 and can only tippy toe on one foot.
