this is my guess you have rear sets that dont allow for use of stock brake switch. you need an inline pressure switch, the brake pressure makes tail light work. theyre cheap too better than just not caring and letting it dangle i paid 20 bucks for my woodcraft switch just be careful choosing the thread most bikes use coarse some fine

Maybe you could ignore the connectors and just join the wires together. idk it works with speaker wire, idk just throwing random ideas out there
