Can you negotiate on the buyback? I don't know how bad the bike is, but if it is not too bad,may be worth a try?

that is a bit steep on the buyback. My 08 Aprilia Tuono got totaled but it was cosmetic and I bought it back for $750 and turned around and flipped it for $3,500 in two hours. Total payout was $9k so it was less than 10%. FlyingDuc still got a good deal though.

They would not let me negotiate the price on my totaled bike. I def tried. But I bought it back for a grand.

They said 40% buy back period, part of it was they don't want the bike's bought back and 1/2 assed back together were someone else might get hurt on it, and something about them being hauled to mexico and using the #'s and title to put stolen bikes back on the street.

OBED, I agree, at first i thought about rebuilding the bike, but then who knows how many little, or not so little things will pop up from here on out. So I'm on the look out for a comfortable bike that i like, hopefully by the time my knees and shoulder are back to normal i'll have one to ride.
