I put the entire blame on my inexperience as a rider. Everyone can bash the heck out of me because I went out riding like that.

I crashed near my home, so that made things better. The bike was good enough to drive back home, but it's not good enough to go anywhere else now. The rear break is broken, the right handle bar is pretty loose, it's scratched pretty bad on the side, and maybe other small things.

I'll post pictures of the damage later.

Let the bashing begin!

ps ATGATT probably saved me here so I'm gratefull that I came on this forum.
Also I might be looking into trading it in for a Ninja 250r or CBR250r
We all crash at some point. I'm more bothered at you writing rear break instead of rear brake.

Lol, I love how people say the stickers come off at the track. This dude is rolling down a neighborhood. Yeah weld that crack...that my stress an crack during a sweeper when its flexing. Cant afford knee pads? You can get them at cycle gear for like $15-20...how the can you afford that if your riding a thousands of dollar bike? Crazy talk I tell you. Then some dude here says do a track day? if you cant get out of the neighborhood please dont come to the track and run into us!

Anyways not to be a debbie downer, just fix that and gear up and keep practicing.

We're all going to crash, you just got yours over with! I had a lot of close calls when I started, mostly had to do with the brakes. You'll get there, I am a way better rider now, mostly thanks to the track. Get more seat time and the track will help you.

Newton's Law of Motion
#22 An object at rest or in motion tends to stay at rest or in motion unless acted upon by an another force.

In your case the outside force was the pavement. Figure out why this force acted upon your motion and don't let it happen again.

actually most crashes happen in mos 7-8
i thought this was for motorcycle deaths resulting from inexperienced crashs.

I would argue that most light drops/injuries happen in the first month or two when the rider is trying to translate the awkward moves they learn on the MSF's 250cc bikes with the agility/fluidity of a 600+cc super sport

ETA: I really like your bike OP its a shame she got away from you so early, but hey it happens to us all.

Ok, so here's the plan!
Short Term Goals:
I will get the bike up and running for now, fix those two major issues.
Practice the out of that bike till she knows she's mine...
Buy knee pads

Midterm Goals:
Buy motorcycle pants
Buy leather jacket (currently have an icon mesh one)

Long Term Goals:
Eventually get buy a 97-00 GSXR600 wrecked bike or doner bike and swap the frame.
Buy new plastics.

Called up Tony from HOP about the crack in the frame and he said that I should be fine riding like that (Since I don't plan to ride crazy or too aggressive) and that he could weld that in for me if I wanted. I'll just ride like that for now. If I ever see the crack/hole grow bigger, then I'll call up Tony or buy the frame.

Also I'm just going to ride around the neighborhood for a while till I feel comfortable riding the bike on the street. Then ride it on the street for another long while. Then hit up the hi-way. I will make sure that I def feel comfortable before going to the next step.

Anyways anyone know where I can find chap parts for the bike? I tried ebay, but I can't find aftermarket break bracket. I could only find OEM which are expensive as . I'm thinking about going to the two Motorcycle Junkyards tomorrow and see what I can find.

Btw thanks everyone for the advice and support!

You weren't ready man.

Get out there on the skateboard or balance beam and get your coordination together.
You'll be fine in about 6 months time

do your short term goal,,,, the rest will work itself out...
the main thing is to get back on. if you have any friends with small dirt/pit bikes that would allow you to get some seat time on one, that would help as well
