Finally got pulled over..

well riding dirty finally caught up with my .

this morning there were about 4-5 cops just chillin at the light on broadway and 288 (they were actually walking in the street in between cars). Normally i wouldve kept moving and went to the right but when i saw them I thought they were looking for someone or some . Well 1 of em started walking towards me and I knew i was fuked. they were just looking for out of date registrations.

They tell me to pull over right by the U-turn and for a split second i thought about running for it...but i was like it. I had it coming

So the cop was like "u know this bike is a yr out of date and u dont have an inspection sticker"

I started acting like a noob and said "um yea i just got this bike like 3 weeks ago and was going to get it updated tomorrow (lies). Then i started acting like i never knew bikes were supposed to be inspected. After he explained it to me I was like ohhh ok.

he asked for my license, insurance, and title. Gave it to him. So then he was like "I normally bring down the hammer on riders who have out of date registration but u werent riding like a clown, the bike looks like its in good condition, and u have legit insurance and ur license. Im just going to cite u for the inspection which u can get dismissed after bringing the proof of inspection to court."

I was like wow...thank u sir.

guess its my lucky day.

moral: dont ride dirty. or dont let a cop get behind you.

Re: Finally got pulled over..

"The bike looks like it's in good condition." What did he mean? Your bike is sparkling or you don't have anything busted up? I know it sounds like a dumbass question, but I'm still observing how things work here.

Has turn signals that appear to be functioning, working gages, mirrors, etc. Some guys on here ride their track bikes one the street and most of the time they are missing all of these items.

A Hitchcock city police did the same to me a while back. Super nice guy. Was almost apologetic about having to cite me for expired inspection. I had just brought home the ZX10R that week before and decided to ride to GSS to check out a TD that weekend. My fault of course.

Ended up costing me only $25 court fee, but the 1/2day off work to ride to Hitchcock again was NOT worth it. Hwy6 is one boring ride.

Just get it taken care of.

he said he's pulled over some riders that had dam near no tread left on their tires, no turn signals, bad brakes. (dont know how he could know if their brakes were good or not tho lol)
