aftermarket seats.

after riding my 09 ZX6R more and more, i really like the bike, but the seat just kills me after anything over about 50 miles. what do y'all recommend for a good cruiser seat? i don't race or ride aggressive at all(it's kinda a shame how nicely this bike gets treated). i'm looking for most comfortable, flat out. i have a long-term issue in my lower back/pelvis that needs cushion/comfort.

so far i have found:
Zero Gravity
Saddleman
Corbin

thoughts/ideas/vendors that sell these? does Motorcycles Unlimited?

That's one thing I am looking into buying, but I cant justify the price tag especially for the zero gravity. Im going to try and just get some foam and some kind of non slip vinyl and recover the seat myself with a staple gun. If I fail I will take it to an upholstery shop. I will post back on how it goes.

Changed my stock Guzzi cafe seat to a Guzzi dual gel-low seat: remarkable difference in comfort and also more room to adjust my riding geometry...

I bought a Saddleman seat a week and a half ago. I'm sitting a little higher, and my knees are in a little different position. Both of those are taking time to adjust to. It seemed kind of hard at first, but is breaking in nicely now. Starting to like it and am ready to put a longer ride on it and see how my boney fairs. lol

Sounds like a hater right there... She keeps me warm in the winter, and all the shade I need in the summer.

No sancha the woman would probably disaprove. I've asked.....

With sportbikes, I find that the seat won't do much to help your lower back. That's the lean forward posture that does that, so short of getting bar risers, a better padded seat isn't gonna do much. Stress relief for the groin area is something a better seat could help. I hate to say it, but what works depends on the individual. Just because it works for me for somebody else doesn't mean a whole lot for you.

This is the reason I got my new seat.

I picked saddleman because of the design kind of fit what I was looking for.

Features Saddlemen’s Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending) that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure on the perineal area, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer

Figure I'd bump this thread rather than starting a new one since it's the same topic. I'm looking for an aftermarket seat that relieves pressure on the perineal area specifically... I was looking at the Saddlemen but am I missing it or they do not offer a seat for the 2013 Kawasaki 650? Hoping I just missed it as I have been looking for a hour or so.

I had one for the Sprint.....sent that thing packing to Wisconsin to some guy who likes BSDM.

Sargent makes a damned fine seat, softer than Corbin.
