Thumbs up Glympse for MotoHouston.com

We think this will rock for rides and overall info.

Basically what it does: Allows anyone (whom you can choose) to track your exact location via the GPS on your smartphone in real time.

If you're circling a track and you send a glympse to !motohouston, we can literally see you going around the track at the link below.

If you're on a group ride, we can see where your ride currently is located.

Hosting a meet? We can see your location and any members on their way.

Very cool live view of where and what MH'ers are doing.

You have complete control of when and who see's you via your smartphone app.

Sooo__.... let me get this straight. If we do glympse MH then anyone (including the man) can check up on us and see where we are, how fast we are going and how much time they have to set up the roadblock, and where. Not so sure that'd be a good idea.

this one might be a little better.

MY idea is to set up a sticky where anyone who used it could post up and let the other members know. Then we could exchange contact info thru the pm's of members we wish to be one our personal lists. This sticky would also, in turn develop a sort of unofficial registry that will only grow over time.

One thing about glympse though. Always set you time of expiration for a time that will be far past the time it might take you to be rescued. You can always manually turn it off when you finish your ride. However should you need it, you don't want it to expire before you've been rescued.

Yep if you send the glympse to the MH glympse page

http://www.motohouston.com/index.php?pageid=glympse
Otherwise just send it to your personal friends in your contacts that have the app .
