Can a Bad Regulator take out a Stator?

So I replaced my Regulator and I stopped blowing 20 Amp but my battery was dead, so I bought a new one Sunday rode my bike, then I took her out again today, The battery was DEAD sort of (thank for kick starts) then halfway trying to get her home, I lost the turn signals (dash lights still worked) and I'm not sure about the brake light, It also needed to be babied from a stop, I had to get the Revs up to 3-4K and SLOWLY let off the clutch just so she wouldn't die , I got it home and now the battery has NOTHING. Can a bad Regulator cause a stator to go out? Or is it possible they both just went out

So SHORT Version
-Was blowing main fuse
-Replaced Regulator no longer blowing fuses
-Battery's wont hold charge.
-I think it's the stator

I don't think the regulator can take the stator out.

Sure it can, a dead short through a regulator can overheat the copper and the coating in the stator and take it out.

Nevermind, figured out it's the Rectifier that went out this time.

I changed both at the same time on the GSXR-600 last year. Haven't had a problem since. Also bought a volt meter to test it periodically to make sure the battery is charging while running. Oh, and if you charge the battery disconnect the cables just to be on the safe side.

Yes, it can. It's why I recommend testing the components and identifying what's bad rather than playing battleship by randomly replacing parts trying to find the problem.
Not saying you are, just that I see it frequently.

I'm going to test the Stator and the Rectifier tomorrow, I've played battleship once with this bike and it wasn't fun.

Oh man, I'm an Idiot.

I realized what I did wrong, I got a Regulator/Rectifier from Z1, Replaced my regulator but forgot to disconnect the current Rectifier , As soon as the rain clears up I'll get on that and see if that fixes things up.
