Shopping for a Video Recorder

Well I just got news that for spring break my pop wants us to go ride in the hill Country just north of Austin I believe. This finally gives me a reason to go shopping for a video recorder. Want to be able to capture the awesome view and good times.

In my opinion from looking around there seems to be better recorders than the gopros. I'm really liking the Sony action cam with the motion stabilizer.

My questions are:
Has anyone had any experience with the Sony?
Would anyone recommend anything else?

Thanks in advance guys!

I run the gopro on my lid.

However, for a long ride at high speeds (80+) I take it off. It is about as aerodynamic as a brick.

THe battery life could be better too.

Otherwise,great product.

Oh, and it should come with the antifog inserts.

Well the latest and greatest right now is the Gopro Hero 3, however the next best the for the price is the Sony Action Cam priced at $198 on Ebay comparedto the Gopro Hero 3 priced in the $300's. they both have the light sensor technology for night footage, but the choice is up to you.
