I saw the bike after it hit a few trees on 149 around a bend in the national forest just before 1375 heading north. I couldn't see the rider, but there was an ambulance and two cops on the scene. Some harley rider yelled at me take a good look! I wanted to yell back yeah where's your helmet?!!! The bike was picked up an leaning against one of the trees it hit. There was a lot of bark missing. It looked like he was going pretty fast. The bike was in bad shape the fairings were messed up and the windsceen was gone.

probably the same lame HD riders that towed their bikes to the Wal-Mart parking lot on Walden road, cruised 149 a few times, then trailer their bikes back home. i will never understand that.

Hope the rider survives and makes a full recovery

yeah. some of those HD riders are straight up dicks. but there are a few bad apples in every group. i had one HD rider waving at me to slow down on 3090, and i was going speed limit. haha.

There were plenty of those out today. From the group that would not even return a greeting and say hello at the Texaco, to the group who wouldnt move to the right to let us (Texlurch and me) pass through some twisties. We got around them anyway when oncoming traffic cleared, but they sure werent going to show us any common courtesy.
I've met lot's of nice Harely folks, but there's a bunch of J.O.s too. Of course, maybe it has nothing to do with the Harley's. Maybe the ones that are jerks are vette owners too...

Hope the guy that dropped the yeller bike is OK

maybe the HD rider was telling you to take a good look so you could be reminded of what happens when speed gets out of hand and don't let it happen to you?

I live out that way and the HD riders are fudge packing a$$holes. All organ donors without helmets.

The old men in the vetts are just as bad too.

Thursday on my way home I was second in line behind a geezer in an early 90's vette. He was doing 15 under and when I went to pass him when traffic cleared the d!ck gunned it and wanted to play chicken with me in the left lane.

Sorry, I was in third gear, and the extra cc's were nice to have when I zipped around him.

I have actually thought about carrying ball bearings for situations like that, but haven't gone there yet.

I will get off my soap box now.

Reminds me of my Mom's Harley ridin' friends.

Had the nerve to ask when when I was gonna "grow up and get a real bike."

... as they sped off buzzed with no gear and no helmets.

it was a guy that just bought the bike sat. Took the corner too fast and into the trees. Bike hit a stump and launched the rider, bike hit tree. Rider broke leg but is ok. Heard from a friend that was with him.
