yeah i didn't have the heart to tell this kid he was full of stinky brown stuff. after all he was helping me load my bike into the back of his buddy's truck.

oh and his buddy claimed that he wrecked his old r1 going for his "300+ patch"...

The new location has a sketchy strip. The most experienced riders are going town on the big end

I was indicating 170 on an 09 R6 on a long stretch of road. My friend and I has swapped bikes and I was trying to keep up with a liter bike he was riding.

Speedo error and what not, probably not going a GPS 170 mph... But still, it was indicating it.

Yeah its got another 15-20 mph in it...

Johnny Cheese's coppertop went 244 mph with Jen riding it... I am not sure how much he had it cranked up, probably in the mid 400 rwhp range...

I am sure I could get 240 out of it in a perfect pass...But you know how that goes....

So anyway, where are these 170 mph 600s?
I'd like to see a 750 run a true 170 mph...

So there still no proof of a 600 doing 170+? Isn't that claim what started this all off??

"Brock Davidson of Brock's Performance Products supplied us with his own custom map for the PCIII, and we were amazed to see 118 hp on the dyno at KWS Motorsports in Charleston, South Carolina, after making these simple, bolt-on mods. You read that correctly--the Brock's exhaust, a PCIII with a custom map and a tank of VP-U4 race fuel made more than 118 hp on the Dynojet 250, an increase of almost 16 hp over stock. With all this extra power in our pockets we returned to Maxton for the next meet to go after even more records. With Chronan in the saddle again (and the fairings back on) we got a new ultimate fastest speed of 168.092 mph. Final gearing for this setup required raising the front sprocket to 17 teeth while the rear ran a 43-tooth ring. Remember, the head had still never been off the bike at this point--chalk up another eight mph for simple bolt-on parts."

said his cop buddy radared him at 160-170

no proof that that poster hit 170+ though he did say he did it at maxon, no speed receipt proof

that mag article makes it plausible.
