One wild ride today.

Wanted to share my wild ride today with everyone. Today I was trying to get to a friend of mines little girls 5th birthday party today and was jumping on I-10 over here in Beaumont heading towards Vidor. Was jn 4th gear about to put it in 5th at the top of the on ramp and lost traction of the rear tire. That gsxr 750 got completely stupid for a little bit until i finally got it under control. In the mean time of all this i feel something burning my left foot, I look down and got coolant/water/water wetter spraying everywhere. Anyways reached up and killed the bike and coasted to a stop on the shoulder. I can tell you one think for a little while that was the ride of my life with that slick mixture on that back tire. I know one thing for sure i needed some new underpants. The L-shaped hose that goes from waterpump to the waterneck on the head behind the header got a slit in it right where it connects to the waterpump.

Good save man!

I've been there several times... It's definitely not a ride I'd recommend....

You got lucky for sure..

$3 hose almost kills you...

Time to fix it and give the whole bike a good going over..

, that's some bad luck with some good reaction going there.

Glad you didn't turn into a grease spot yourself on the road.

Glad you were able to get it under control. Get some silicone hoses. They should last much longer..

how old is the hose? looks like a typical worn out till it splits hose to me.

you def got lucky. i've slid the rear thru some oil once on my old R6 but thankfully at only about 20mph. plenty sketchy.

I know that feeling. My radiator popped and was spraying my front wheel and front brakes while leaving a nice trail for my rear to slide in.
