morris magneto

If you run a morris magneto MM74L BT magneto , 70 & up shovel bike will run with no battery. It's only $1'295.00 the best on the market. I love them.

work set to resume shortly

todays goals:

picking up carb rebuild kit and wheel seals
rebuilding carb
putting carb back on
FIRING UP THE BIKE!!!!!! WHOOT WHOOT (i gotta find out how to post to you tube so i can upload this thing firing over for the 1st time.)
replacing wheels bearing seals
if there is time re-install wheels

if anyone can give me a quick tut on how to upload a youtube vid so i can post it on here id appreciate it.

don't worry I had the fire extinguisher on the ready!!

here's a pic of all the carb rebuild parts

here's my dad showing me how to rebuild it

Dream come true (Father/Son) 84' shovelhead REBUILD

what we did today:
rebuilt carb
installed carb
put acid in the battery
charged the battery
installed new sparkplugs
rigged up a small fuel cell

so today i bought:
carb rebuild kit
4 wheel bearing seals
redline tranny fluid
K&N air filter (ordered)
front brake line (ordered)
complete front headlight assembly (ordered)
synthetic bearing grease

tomorrow i plan on:
repacking the bearing and getting the wheels all back together
possibly repaint the other tank
and i still have a ton of parts to polish

We wind up firing it up about 4-5 times and she'll run until theres no more gas.

So I got in some goodies today... (know what I just realized they got me the wrong front brake line!?! I asked for the rubber one.....)

directions said I needed to modify the carb plate inorder for proper sealing and fit of new air filter, my other one sort of disinegrated on me

I'm not going to install the headlight yet just incase we need to access any of the wiring under it.

My front brake master cylinder should be coming in any day now along with new handelbars, grips, and a few other piece's that I ordered but dont remember at this second.

On friday I'm going to go get some new o'rings and order a new throttle & idle cable so i can ride this goose!!!!!

Sorry I've been slacking on the progress "me so bz" (i know yall are thinking "bullshiz, you jus a lazy azz ")

Those arent my tins (i wish) but more so wanted to show his quality and skill hes got. For the paint job i do think ill go more conservative vs. old school metal flake/blinged out style. But i do want my helment to resemble a more old school design.
