Yes there is a Front brake myth, which ever brake you most commonly use is basically personal preference. If a rider was taught "From the beginning" to use front brake, that will be all they would know, and possibly use the rear brake based on the situation. Those of us that prefer the rear brake may have a small learning curve to the advanced rear breaking method. Not saying, its the only way or "More Advanced" method but all it is...... a Method and or technique.

1. On pavement: If you're only going to use one brake, use the front
2. Off pavement with street tires: Only use the rear brake
