kx65 gearing for katy

I need a little help. I believe my bike is running either 13/45 or 13/46( I will have to count again when I get home). When im coming out of the last turn Im already tapped at the top of 6th mid straight away. I have to ease off the throttle and cruise until the next brake marker. To all of yall with kx65's what gearing are you running at katy that allows you to throttle your way through the entire straightaway? Also what gearing do you run at denton? Thanks.

I know a 14 will fit on the front of that bike. That will help some but, would bet you need to take the rear sprocket down to a 42 or 43 for that track.

PMP Sprockets can get those out to you in a day or two. They have never let me down.

Depending on how you ride the bike and just how hard you want to be on the bike determines that. I like either a 14/44 or 15/44 at katy and my bike seems to like it.

With 14/44 does that let you accelerate through the whole straight at katy?

It lets him wheelie out of every turn... have not been able to stop the little from doing that ....and on a 65 he is the one to beat... at least one of the ones to beat, even if his is yellow

The 14/44 really has the bike basically screaming everywhere. Depending on the drive you get out of the last turn depends on how things go on the big end but I have never had a huge issue with toppping out on straight. But..... I do also like the 15 on the front because its easier on the bike. Not as much shifting either. I can run the same lap times with both gearing. I like the 15 for endurance and 14 for sprint but its just what you feel comfy with. And thanks Obed. The power of that little suzuki is crazy Ive raced about everything from big to small bikes and the 65 in TMGP is by far the most fun I have!!!!

I dont know what we ran on ours but I alway got lazy on the shifting after doing endurance. I would just rev it out a little longer rather than shift. Bad thing to do.
I never ran sprints but I am sure I could stick it out and do the required shifts.

Motorcycles Unlimited has got me all of mine. They can usually have them next day. The 13/45 gearing you are running is WAYYYY off. You are prob topped out really quick. It will be a completely diff motorcycle with the new gearing
