I have it on good authority from the priest that was on the louetta scene shortly after the accident. He said the bike was clipped from behind by an impatient driver trying to pass him. I saw the accident about an hour after it happened and that is what it looked like. I could not quit figure it out either.

That's just how they report it. Rodrigo (who should get his own account) offers that Texas has the most fatal rear ends for motorcycles.

HPD Traffic Sgt. says: 41YO black male operator of a motorcycle on FM526 attempts to pass a car in lane 3 and cut back across into lane 2, which is entrance from Hwy 90. As that motorcycle operator tries to complete his pass. lane 3 contines straight and lanes 1 & 2 enter Hwy. 90. The motorcyle hit a curb and traffic barricade and is ejected off the motorcycle. The operator is killed (is wearing a helmet and safety gear). The motorcycle continues down FM526 for several hundred feet before going off the road into a deep ditch. No other vehicles involved.

Now you know the rest of the story. You're welcome

Funny, most of the moto accidents I've witnessed, it was no one's fault but the rider's. Just sayin'

Such a stupid, simple mistake and all those years of living are gone

You're saying he tried to squeeze into lane 2 and clipped the median curb that separates the freeway ramp and the feeder?

that's the Old Beaumont Highway. I have lived less than a mile off of it most of my life and yes it's still dangerous. Less than a month ago an old mexican man that walked everywhere pulling a wagon selling roasted corn was hit and killed. I have known several people who have had accidents on it. And a few that didn't survive.

The roadway where this happened is the new Crosby Freeway.

My wreck the other night where the guy pulled out in front of me was just up the road a quarter of a mile (where Maxey crosses Wallisville) or so from the scene of this accident.
